What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathy combines natural therapies such as
herbal medicine, nutrition, iridology, homoeopathy, acupuncture and
massage therapy for the treatment of illness and restoration of
wellbeing. A Naturopath views the individual from a holistic
perspective using symptoms as a guide rather than a diagnosis,
treating the body as an integral whole. A Naturopath will promote
joint participation, encouraging you to take an active role in the
healing process through education, adjustments in lifestyle, diet
and exercise to maintain the body's natural balance. For more information click here...
What is Herbal medicine?
Herbal medicine or Botanical Medicine involves the use of any or all of the different parts of plants (roots, leaves, stems and seeds) to treat illnesses and maintain wellness.
Herbal Medicine is the oldest form of medicine known and is used to improve the body's natural functions and to restore a natural balance of health.
Herbal medicines can be given in a variety of forms, such as liquids, infusions, tablets, creams and ointments.
What is Massage
Massage is one of the oldest treatments for the body. Most people don't know how much stress they are carrying until they have a massage - then they can feel it and let it go.
A professional massage therapist loosens muscles and connective tissues, to release stress an muscular tension. The body can be freed of spasm and pain, increase its range of motion, and strengthen to avoid injury.
Common conditions treated with massage include back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, stress and tension related problems and muscle strain or injury.
Remedial Massage, Relaxation (Swedish), Sports, Pregnancy, Infant, Lymphatic Drainage, Acupressure, Shiatsu and Aromatherapy are all available at Feel Amazing Wellness Centres Chatswood. For more information on massage click here...
Ear Candling:
The process involves the use of a hollow candle with the narrow end held gently onto the edge of the ear. The flame creates a relative vacuum in the ear which draws out poisons, old wax, residues of past infection and fungus. Candling provides the ears with deep cleansing, removing wax and debris build-up that is normally difficult to reach. It is non-invasive and gentle and may obtain beneficial results in fungal problems, excessive wax build up, sinus irritation/postal nasal drip, glue ear or swim ear. A non invasive technique that is more pleasant than syringing. Each treatment is completed with your choice of a face or scalp massage.
